Voices from Vietnam- A World Premiere Event

Friday, Nov 8 at 7:30PM – 10:00PM

Journey Theater 4175 Bludau Drive Warrenton 20187

$12.00 – $20.00

About the Event

Join us at Journey Theatre in Vint Hill from November 8th to 24th for the world premiere of “Voices from Vietnam,” a new stage play by Dr. Harry J. Kantrovich and Bruce H. “Doc” Norton. This production brings to life a powerful collection of interviews, stories, letters, and reflections from Vietnam Veterans—encompassing Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Nurses, and Women who served, as well as POWs, MIA families, a Vietnamese refugee, an Embassy statesman, and students.

The play, inspired by a book, was born from the authors’ dedication to preserving the narratives of those who experienced the Vietnam Conflict firsthand. It’s also a heartfelt “Welcome Home” to the service members who missed out on such acknowledgments. Dr. Kantrovich reflects, “American soldiers returning from Vietnam often faced disdain as the war grew unpopular. There were no ‘Welcome Home’ parades for them, perceived as returning from a lost cause. However, these service members fulfilled their duty to their country, and the lives lost were significant. When you meet a Vietnam Veteran, instead of saying ‘Thank you for your service,’ offer them the greeting they longed for but never received—’WELCOME HOME!'”
